This book should be apart of every history class and/or should be apart of the summer reading for /5(). Read My Lips is written mostly from Dessie’s (the female lead) point of view, but also has a good bit from Clayton’s (her male love interest).

I think the author does a good job of voicing both sexes. Everyone in Dessie’s family is famous and talented/5. Often called “a third ear,” lip reading goes beyond simply reading the lips of a speaker to decipher individual words.
